Will an 85 transmission fit into an 86 accord?

    Wondering cause the salvage yards in town aren't carrying them right now.
    Looking towards ebay

    The third generation of the Accord was from 1986 to 1989.
    the second generation of the Accord was from 1982 to 1985.

    Based upon the above information that I obtained from a book--I don't
    believe that an 85 transmission will fit into an 86 Accord. However, I
    have never tried it. If you receive a post from another person that has
    tried it--take their advice. However, don't invest your money or time into
    the project unless you receive such advice.
