Does anyone know when 2005 CR-V will come out?
Will there be any significant changes in style or features?

    I am thinking about buying a CR-V.
    Any first-hand advice?
What kind of deal have you gotten - $xxx above/below invoice, etc?
I would greatly appreciate any feedback.

    Why not?
So far I have read/heard only positive things about CR-V,
not to mention some awards bye Intellichoice or something.

In general, I had good experiences with Honda vehicles.
I appreciate your feedback. Did you have problems with CR-V?

  4. Why not?
Um, u haven't heard about CR-Vs bursting in to flames?

My CR-V was recalled twice (brake light malfunction due to bad wiring and
ignition switch) and had numerous other problems.... including a $2000
transmission overhaul @ only 80,000 miles!

    Yeah, CR-V sucks.

I'm sure by now the dealers know about the gasket issue and will look
for it on the first oil change. What the previous poster failed to
mention was what was causing the fires. There is an issue that when
the mechanic removes the oil filter, the gasket on the oil filter may
be stuck to the engine and left on accidentally (it is in a previous
posting from last week). If you are going to buy one, just make sure
to mention it on the first oil change at 7,500 miles.

    Hope this helps,
    Nick

According to the salesmen I talked to.. The 05 CR-V should be available
around September. He also said there will be No significant changes in
    style or features...
We are just about to purchase an 04 CR-V EX Automatic. So far the best
prices I've gotten are Internet Quotes from four different local
dealers. All at or below invoice. 21,135 - 21,300. I highly recommend
using the internet to get quotes. It eliminates most of the sales
commission and the haggling.. RETAIL: 23,040.00 INVOICE: 21,320.12
Information & Quotes through Kelly Blue Book. http://www.kbb.com/

    Good Luck!!

That's quite a bit better than the internet quotes I got here in western PA.
Only two 'local' dealers. Not really all that local...

Fortunately for me there's 22 Honda dealers within fifty miles. This
might be the reason it's cheaper here. Plus it's the end of the model
year as well as the bad publicity the vehicle has gotten lately...

the US versions won't differ much.

    - New 5-Speed Automatic transmission
    - Vehicle Stability Assist, Side SRS & Side Curtain SRS on all trims
    - Keyless entry added on LX model

    - now available in Redondo Red Pearl, Cosmic Grey Pearl, and Opal
Beige Metallic (Chianti Red & Mojave Mist discontinued)
