I am looking to replace the tires on my 1999 CRV and could use some
suggestions. I would like to find tires that are quieter than the
factory ones and handle snow well.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks.

The best thing you can do is go to www.tirerack.com and use their
search tool to view all of the tires available for your model. By
entering the make, model and year, they know what size tire your car
will need. It will also tell you how to 'upsize' (larger dimension wheel
and smaller profile tire) the wheels and tires if you so desire.

Once you've found a tire that looks interesting, go to their
survey/feedback/reader comments about that tire and you can usually read
several reviews about the tire you're looking at. They also tell you
where that feedback ranks against other tires in that category.

The two brands I've found to have good value and positive feedback are
    Yokohama and Kumho.

Get a set of Michelin Hydroedge, I think they are one of the best. I put
them on a CR-V and is quiet and excelent in water. I can't comment about
    snow.
