    Hi
I've a Honda Civic 1.4L(no VTEC) 97 Model and 60K miles. Last car
service was done at 48K miles and last oil change/filter was done at
55K miles. The problem is that when ever I turn off the engine after
running the car for 10-15 miles, I always hear Tic-Tic-Tic sound
coming from the engine. And it stops after 5-7 mins. when the engine
cools a bit. But I am sure that there is nothing wrong with the engine
as I am continuously monitoring the temperature. Also the
coolant/radiator/fan all are working fine. I've run big distances on
this car in the recent time and there was not a problem of heating
etc. even when the sound was coming from engine after stopping the
    car.

It would be great if some body has the idea where this sound is coming
from. And what can be the solution?

    All the suggestions are welcome.
    thanks

The sound you're hearing is the metal shrinking as the engine is cooling
    down.
This is normal and I think that the exhaust would be the part making most of
    this noise.

Yes, these are the heat shields around your catalytic converter and
exhaust pipes (B-pipe) contracting back to their original sizes. Not a
    problem. Normal thing..........
