What is the best way to check for spark on these new cars? Way back
before solid state, we would just pull one of the plug wires and put a
spark plug in the end of it and ground the plug and crank the engine. Is
there a better way using a piece of test equipment? bob

You can use an ignition scope if you have one,or one of those spark
    testers.(neon?)

If it uses spark plug wires, then that's still a valid test. Just be you don't
crank it without the plug being grounded.
