After my mechanic changed the ECU in the car, the car is hesitating and
shakes a lot when revving the engine (slowly), idling rough and low..
shifts at higher rpms.. check engine light comes on right at starting..
codes 4 & 16 (crank position sensor, fuel injectors)

i've dropped it back off at the shop, and he'll see it tomorrow.. but any
ideas on what it could be? hopefully not a(nother) bad ecu..

    What Civic do you have?
What Civic did the ECU com from???
What are the numbers on both ECU's?????

I'll bet you have a DX/LX and the "new" ECU is from a HF or EX/Si.

With the codes from the ecu's I can tell you for sure.

by the links in your signature, the 91 LX 4 door I assume?????

I need the ECU codes to confirm that you have the wrong ECU.

"Mista Bone" <> decided to join the conversation
Well, I got it back from the shop today.. the old computer is back in..

mechanic said he called the company and they're sending out another one
next-day air... the numbers are correct on both (PM6-A09) .. he thinks they
may have sent one for a manual and not automatic... or just a bad ecu..

another one will be in on tuesday, so we'll see... for now though, my wife
still has no fans in her car. well she has fans, but a computer that won't
    turn them on.

and yes, the 91 lx 4-door.. sorry for being vauge ;) ... i was really just
looking for an early answer (what to expect when the mechanic called me)

ECU doesn't turns the fans on.

Temp switch or fan relay does that.

a PM6 ECU is for the EX/Si, your car should have a PM-5

    towards the bottom
