My Elite has 8,470 miles. My maintenance minder finally indicated maintenance due with the "wrench". Code A16 (Replace oil and filter, rotate tires, and change rear differential fluid) had been showing for several weeks, if not a few months, but no wrench. My local Honda dealer, whom I brought the car from, said they would only honor a free oil and filter change, when 15% oil life is showing, which it finally is now, and the "wrench" appeared when the minder turned to 15% I was told by the local Honda dealer service department that the Elite has two differential fittings, and to change the fluid in both would be $165 each or a total of $330; however, another Honda dealer service in a larger city which is relatively close, quoted me $189 to do both, a cost savings of about $141.00--this dealer also said that after the first differential fluid changes, another won't be due until I reach 30,000 miles. I have the following question: to the people who have all wheel drive as I have with the Elite trim, what has been your experience with the rear differential fluid changes and/or operation?
