    Hi,

    My 2000 Accord Cpe V6 started having this problem recently: At 45+ MPH, a
    high pitched
    squeal from the rear can be heard when going over bumps on the road;
    sometimes it can last several seconds.
    The car has about 39K miles on it and I take good care of it in terms of
    maintaince and driving.

    Any ideas what the problem might be? I would like to get some feedback
    before I take the car into the shop.

    Thanks in advance.

    Regards,
    Dave

  2. Maybe the handbrake cable broke? Sounds scary.

  3. Don't know about the 2000 but I had the same
    problem. Turns out it was a worn brake pad.

    You can do a visual flashlight check if you can see thru the rims.
