    Hi,

I have a 97 honda accord and it makes a screeching noise from the
driver side when i use the power lock. Even if I manually lock using
the one in the driver window, it makes this noise

    But it works perfectly though

If you've never lubed your locks (in nine years), it wouldn't hurt to
pick up a tiny blue aerosol can of LockEase. I found it at a locksmith,
and it was recommended by another locksmith. Hose all five locks with
the tiny plastic tube attached to the can. Massage the key around and
the solvent part will work any crud out, leaving a coat of (messy)
graphite. Wipe you key with a tissue the first few times. Locks work
better, keys go in and out easier, actually better than new.

The drivers side actuator was screwed up on one of our CR-V's because an
internal return spring was piled up and folded over inside. I took the
actuator apart, threw the spring away and it seems to work OK without.
    Bonus :)
