  2. I am pretty sure, just like our Isuzu Trooper, the Isuzu Rodeo (aka
Honda Passport) doesn't have a dipstick for the automatic
transmission. You drain/fill from the underside; kind of messy and I
used a pump on the bottle to get the fluid back in.

yup. usually by the gear oil n stuff like that. AFAIK, using a pump like
that is normal for standard (manual) trannies- or at least it was on my
    75 MG.

There is a procedure to make sure you fill it to the right level. I
don't remember right now what it is. The dealer overfilled my wife's
-- the result is, when you drive it long enough to get it really warm,
and park it in the garage, you get what looks like a transmission leak.

So if you had the fluid changed recently, you'll drive yourself nuts by
refilling and seeing more fluid come out again -- even if there may not
    be a leak.

    And there is no dipstick.

  6. Yes, I got it at AutoZone.

It simply screws onto the 1 quart bottles.

Be real careful with the level ; in fact, check the Haynes or Chilton
manual to make sure and fill it correctly.

Also, before you drain, make sure you can remove the fill plug.

Forgot to mention, for what it's worth, this is a General Motors
transmission. Is supposed to have a good reputation for reliability.
It is also used in BMW's.

Sorry I can'r remember the fill procedure; we don't even own the
Passport anymore as it was traded for an MDX.

I think maybe it is done by measuring the fluid level a couple of
inches from the top of the fill hole, but I don't remember exactly how
many inches. You quite definitely do not fill it all the way up.

You might check out this thread, which discusses a known leak issue
with the 2000, and a cheap(er) fix. Still, I don't agree with the
"fill to the top" instructions from one of the posters.
