I was givin a 97 Honda Civic. The only problem is its hard to get into
and out of gear, almost like the linkage is bent or it's real cold out.
It also runs great but when I hit second gear the clutch seems to slip.
Do both these symptoms sounds like they are clutch related? Is it worth
it to repair at 181,000 miles?

yes. if you want to keep the car. id probably have the seals replaced,
too... but only after a compression check to see if everything is still
    basically sound.

Since the car was free, spend the difference on an Owner's manual from
your Honda dealer, or helm.inc. The brake fluid in the clutch hydraulics
should be flushed to remove any water / rust. You might find the clutch
works great. Adjustment might need to be backed off a couple of turns
too. Try topping it up in the meantime. Use DOT 4 or Dot 3 brake fluid.
Top up the _brake_ fluid as well, or the BRAKE light will be coming on too.
