New California fees in September

I wanted to know if anyone here could tell me if the September fees are
still going into effect in California? I know it was a platform for some of
the Davis recall.

I have a 02 Accord. My last year registration fee was around $160, this
year's which is due Oct. is $360. So there goes Davis.

Then you probably meant to ask about the prices.

The DMV fees which increase on Oct are approx 2% of purchase price of a new
car. Pickups are slightly different as the commercial license plate
calculations come into play.
