Need Information about car shows and Auto Magazines

Discussion in 'General Motoring' started by YourEmbelm.Com, Dec 31, 2003.

  1. Since I opened my car accessory business- actually customized emblems
businesss ( www.YourEmblem.Com ), I need to go to car trade shows and
    posting advertising in online/offline magazine.

    1. Does anyone knows where can I get the whole list of car shows and
    which one is big events?

    2. Same question to magazines, which magazines I should pay for
    adverting?

Frankly, I never been in the industry before and so many information
are available on the web. So, I do not have any idea for either car
    shows or magazines?

    Please help me....

No single source I know of.

    Target a market first.
Can you make reproduction emblems identical to original?
    Then start with Hemmings.
    "Turbo" and similar generic badges?
    Sport Compact tuner mags
    etc

You may want to look into joining AAIA (Automotive Aftermarket Industry
Association). Check them out at http://www.aftermarket.org

  6. The point is that it's a fake appeal for help in order to increase awareness
for his stickers while not appearing to be an advertisement. He knows the
    answers to his questions.

  7. Sounds like you're looking for marketing advice. I suggest two soft
cover books that will help you. First read Guerilla Marketing Attack
(2nd book in the series) for motiviation and then Guerilla Marketing
(1st book in the series) for how to market your business. These are
books written for small business owners who don't have a million dollar
marketing budget. They give you about a hundred ideas on how to market
your business and the most important information on the motiviation to
go out there and do it.

There's some great information that you need to know, for example, it
takes about 7 phone calls to get to the right person in a company. A
customer must see your company name 21 times before they will remember
it. I know that when my boss and I read Guerilla Marketing Attack, we
were gungho on getting out and selling. Great motivational book.
