I just changed the oil (first oil change ...it's at 3,000 miles) on my
4 cyl accord and noticed that there was no washer on the oil drain
bolt. I put a nylon washer on but noticed that when I screwed the
bolt in it only took two rotations of the screw to get it tight
because I of the washer. I felt like this would stress the threads so
I took the washer back off. Anyone have any feedback as to why there
wasn't a washer and/or whether it was ok for me to put the drain bolt
back on without a washer?? Thanks!!

The washers are aluminum. It is likely that the old washer stuck to the drain
plug and you didn't notice it. The washers should be replaced at every oil
change. Be careful not to over torque the drain plug as Honda oil pan drain
plug threads are notoriously weak. This diagram should reassure you that your
car does indeed take a drain plug washer http://tinyurl.com/hypf (note that this
is for a 2002 4dr DX but should be similar to your model).
