Looking for Rear Shelf for 91 Civic 3dr DX - cannot find anywhere

Discussion in 'Civic' started by Konrad Starek, Jul 24, 2003.

  1. I have tried searching the above at the NYC Shea Stadium junk yard as
well as on the junk yards online (including signing up for a $5 junk
yard search - they promised plenty of hits). Time has passed, $5 has
landed in somebody's pocket and I still do not have the rear shelf. I
am hesitant to just go to Majestic Honda and pay them $130 for the
    part.

Any advice will be much appreciated.
    Thank you,
    Konrad

i imagine you could make one using a piece of pegboard, some thin diameter
pipe for bracing, some automotive carpet and some 3m spray adhesive.

  6. Well, the car is actually in a pretty good condition and I am not sure
if my own production would yield an acceptable outcome. I will keep
    searching.

Okay, but you could have a more adept friend make you one.

Point is, some DIY people really CAN prodce some quality
    professional-looking stuff you know.

    Good luck,

  10. ------------------------------------

I saw one for $5 at a garage sale in Edmonton (Canada) the other day...
Maybe I should have picked it up. 'Curly'

To REPLY: You must remove two underscores from the return address to

Regarding stage performances: When everyone else has finished playing,
you should not play any notes you have left over. -

  12. I wish you would have... I am clearly prepared to pay quite some more
than $5. I still do not have it. Konrad

You're chances of getting it -- or anything really -- on EBAY are
pretty slim (unless the guy has a "Buy It Now" price posted and you
want to pay that)...someone may snipe you at the very end and you'll
    have wasted all that time.

I suggest you keep looking just in case.
