I have been looking for a source that sells replacement leather upholstery
for my 97 Honda Accord SE. I have found a few places that sell a complete
kit (Driver's, Passenger's and rear seat upholstery plus hog ring pliers and
hog rings), but I am not interested in spending $700. All I need is the
driver's side upholstery. Anyone have any ideas on where I can find just
    the driver's side?

In the US, the 1997 Special Edition did not come with leather. You need to
find out which dealer installed the leather (probably the dealer that sold
the car new). They should be able to tell you which company they used for
the kit. They may even be able to order the replacement cover (just for the
driver's seat) since they probably already are a dealer for that brand.

If that is not possible, you can go to one of those shops that sells the
complete kit and ask them to order just the driver's seat.... but you risk
it not being the same pattern.

Call your local Honda dealer and ask them which local shop they use to
repair and install leather and check with them. They don't use a kit - they
get a hunk of matching leather and make the piece you need. Unless you
happen to find a '97 with good leather in the junk yard, you will be
spending upwards of $700 no matter where you go though.

I inquired about leather for my 01 Prelude and was given a price of $1,500.
Quite a bit considering all we are talking about are the front buckets and
    the samll rear seat.

  5. Try www.katzkin.com and www.autoleathers.com . While they quote prices
online for the entire set, I suspect this is only because most people
replace it all at once. Autoleathers has a phone number to call for pricing
estimates which I would interpret as 'what if I just want one seat'.
