  1. Well, I guess that it had to happen sooner or later. Saw my first
"Element" today and what an gawd-awful lookin' thing it is. Looks like
Honda stylists joined up with their counterparts from GM with regards to
    butt ugly transportation...

yeah, you either hate it or love it. I looked into getting one and dropping
my '99 Accord V6. Due to I need the transport space. The Element has a lot
of useable space contained within. (believe it)

When I think of the Element, I think of the "Vacation" movie at the
beginning when Griswold picks up the family truckster... "You think you hate
it now, wait till you drive it." EXCEPT, in this case, it is all positive
opinions from me. Sure I only test drove it, but I loved the functionality.
For laughs, go to a dealer and have the salesperson show it to you. Before
I went and sat in it, I hated them. What's funny is that the more you sit
in it and see all of the features, the more you start to like it.

If they only got rid of the plastic body cladding, they'd have an immediate
    sale.

but of course it only took the best of its design features.

It is ugly, but in a much less offensive way than the Scion xB. The
Scion is so ugly you just want it put in the crusher.

In my mind the Element has surpassed the Pontiac Aztek as being the world's
    ugliest vehicle. The Aztek looks like a Dempstey Dumpster on wheels to me;
and the Element looks like a mammoth-sized phone booth on wheels! Maybe that
other poster is right. Honda must have hired the designer of the Aztek after
    GM canned him. ;-) LOL

There was a series of posts concerning the 2005 Element where one of
the posters said that the 2005s will not have the cladding. I
remember seeing a pic where the owner painted the cladding with the
body color (orange) It looked real nice....of course I don't mind the
cladding. This might have been on elementowners.com
