Yes I did this exercise about 6 months ago.
I decided on the Accord Euro (aka Acura TSX) after driving the Mazda 6. More
power for the Honda and the Auto gearbox is far superior on the Honda.

  4. Mazda is a Ford. Accord is too expensive. I would get the Altima. $14,900 for a
    Lexus GS look-alike (interior).

Don't think you could go wrong with either car but I have not read any
reviews stating that the Honda Accord Euro gearbox is FAR SUPERIOR than the
Mazda 6. Both get excellent reviews.

  7. You gotta be kidding me right.... As an ex-owner of a '98 GS300, I can tell
you that there is no look-alike there. And can you even compare quality and
interior features of the two cars?

  9. I did it too.... ended up with the Accord Coupe EX V6. I really like the
styling of the Mazda 6 but the Accord Coupe has really grown on me.

I couldn't stand the interior of the Mazda 6 and seeing that I spend most of
my time stuck in traffic... the interior of the Accord bought me over.
Another factor was reliability... which hands down goes in favor of Honda.
The Mazda 6 did have a better (sporty) drive then the Accord.

Also there was an issue with rust on the Mazda 6... happening on the doors.
Search for it on Google or visit some Mazda 6 forums to see what you find!

As an owner of a GS, I can tell you there's nothing special about this car. And
considering it costs $25,000 more than an Altima, it really isn't worth it.

Then why would you use it as a basis for comparison?

  13. Take a walk... over to
    http://www.lexus.com/models/gs/gallery_interior_photos.html

Just cuz an Altima has three round dails doesn't make it a GS look-a-like.
What about the Power tilt-and-telescopic, fully automatic dual-zone
    climate-control system, auto-tint rearview-mirror compass. Doors, console,
gearshift knob and steering wheel are clad in leather and burled walnut with
Formula One-inspired thumb and forefinger electronic shift (E-shift) ...
show me an Altima that has that!

If the GS is nothing special then why not sell it and buy an Altima ??? I
personally don't believe you own a GS, but it really doesn't matter... cuz
you spent 25k for no reason.... that's what you are trying to tell us?

  14. As an owner of a GS, I can tell you there's nothing special about this car.
A $14,900 car resembling a $45,000 car...... you must be wetting your panties.

    Altimas has it.

    , fully automatic dual-zone
There was no compass in your '98.

    .. Doors, console,
There was no E-shift in your '98.

You gotta be f'n kidding me. A loaded Altima has all that and a 260hp engine.
    Your GS only has 225hp.

I will be selling it..... and getting a BMW Z4.
I'm telling you that owning a Lexus doesn't make you any more special than an
    Altima owner.

    Unfortunately ;)

If they ever get around to releasing a Mazda 6 wagon with a V6 and a
manual transmission, I'd at least have to think about it.

You just *said* that the GS is nothing special. So why would anyone
care about a $15K car that looks like nothing special?
