Hello everyone. I just bought a 1997 Honda Passport that needs lots of help. It was this forum that cautioned me on the frame rot possibility, so I checked the frame prior to purchase and it was fine. It's a really nice vehicle that needs some TLC. I have a complete set of service manuals coming that I bought on E-bay, but I'm too much in a hurry to start working on her, so let me ask one question here.

I didn't bring the vehicle home with me because the front drive shaft has a very bad u-joint. Can I pull the front shaft off to get her home with just the rear wheels driving? What I don't know if there will be fluid loss when the shaft is removed. Also would the selector be set to 4Hi to keep the pump spinning for lubrication?

    Thanx for your help!
