    Hello,

I just bought a new Honda Civic 2004. Yesterday I had a panic stop (I
was driving at about 40 mph)when my mileage was at 130 miles. I read
about the break-in period and that made me quite worried. Could anyone
tell me how bad that panic stop would do to my brake system? Should I
    have it checked?

    Thank you very much,

You had to stop the car, you didn't get injured, you are ok. Don't worry
    about the car.

Yeah, I wouldn't worry about it. Just picture some of the thing people do
during a test drive. One time, a GTI saleman told my friend, who was
considering purchasing the car, to slam on the brake at 70mph to prove how
stable the car was. The car slid in a straight line. This was before ABS.

But, it wasn't his car. :)
