    Hi,
Dash clock on my '98 CRV is acting up. Some times it displays time,
somes times not. But correct time is kept on. Any one had this problem?
Also how can I remove the clock? Pry it out or is it more involved?
    TIA

That whole center section comes out, including the two vents. It's
probably a loose/ corroded connector, or a bad solder joint on the
clock. Use a putty knife wrapped in electrical tape on the bottom edge,
pull out and top edge releases last. The CR-V clock is luminescent, so
it's _not_ the light bulb giving trouble. :)

    Hi,
Thanks. Removed clock module and found cold solder joint on one of
surface mount big resistor(590 Ohm partly under the display chip).
Resolder, put everything back together, all is A-OK.
    Thanks again.
