Help! I have just bought my V, but the reverse light doesn't work. Does anyone
know how to change the light? I don't know if you go through the boot (trunk)
or pry it out from the outside, or go crawling under the car. Anyone have any
    ideas?

Obviously I don't have a manual, but would appreciate any help you have.

    cheers,
    Cliff

  2. Cliff,

If you're in north america, call 1-800-782-4356 and order the owner's
manual, if your dealer won't get you one. My dealer gets them in about 5
    days (Canada).

Lift the tailgate and use an 8 mm socket (or a big phillips screwdriver)
to remove the three nuts. The rest is self-explanatory. Check the bulb
before you tear both sides apart in case your tranny isn't sending the
    signal to turn them on.

Thanks, but I think European models have the reverse light in the bumper. Can
    anyone confirm?

    Cliff,

When you mentioned crawling under the car, I thought you were being a
goof-ball, but now you're making sense. I've recently bought a nice set
of fog lamps that I'm intending to install in the rear bumper to use as
back-up lamps, because the high-mounted factory ones aren't great, and
because we have very dark tint on our windows. If yours have Phillips
head screws, try backing them out and see if the whole lens pops off,
revealing the bulb. If it's a Halogen bulb (my new ones are) be careful
to only handle the replacement bulb with a tissue, or whatever it comes
    wrapped in.

I think that the European models have the reverse light in the bumper, so I'm
going crawling this weekend to investigate more.
