    Hello:

Have a new 2004 Accord LX

Might anyone suggest a small, simple, inexpensive, cassette tape deck
that would store in the center arm rest volume, and has its own built-in
    (hopefully fairly decent) speaker ?

For reasons that are hard to understand, no tape deck is included in the
radio, although new Camry's do have one. The dealership wanted a fortune to
install the Honda version into the dash.

    Thanks,
    Bob

  2. Cruise eBay for a while. You'll need the 'add-on cassette' with the
newer rectangular connector, not the old round DIN style. You can
install it yourself in 45 minutes. You might get it for less than 1/2
what your dealer is asking...Here's an example of the OLD model

OR, Get a full-height stereo from eBay with the cassette and CD all in
    one.example

Here's a starting point for installation help..
