Hi All! I have been trying to set the timing on my '95 Civic ex coupe, A/T. I've got everything lined up correctly. The line on the timing belt gear, under the crank pulley, lined up with the arrow on the oil pump (at approx. 1:00 o'clock). The crank pulley installed with the keyway locked in. On my particular pulley, there are 5 timing marks. 3 marks - white, red, white. A few degrees to the right of those is another white mark. Then another white groove a couple degrees after that one. Those last two marks are are seperated by a distance twice that of the first group of marks are from one another. The "6 o'clock" cam gear mark is lined up with the pointer on the back of the upper timing cover. Which tilts the two side cam gear marks slightly uneven with the top of the head on either(both) sides. Finally, "up" is pretty much up. When I put the timing light on it to set the timing, I have to rotate, or slide, the distribuitor housing alkl the way towards the front of the car and still, thats not far enough to get that center (red) mark on the crank pulley to line up with the timing arrow on the timing cover. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
