I have an 97 accord EX with 125K. I just had my 120K maintaince done
and the CV joint boot casings were replaced (not sure if it is
    related)
When I shift from reverse to drive, I hear a noise from the front of
the car the first time I touch the brake pedal after shifting. I
sometimes notice the same noise when I touch the brake when shifting
    from drive to reverse.
Just curious if others had a similar problem with their accord.

    Can you describe the noise?

Your question is awfully vague without some sort of description.

That sounds like the brake pads were loose in their caliper. When the
car change direction, the pads slid and made a sound. Perhaps it doesn't
    have the right pads?
