  1. Investigators checking switch in Honda CR-V

Federal regulators have begun an investigation of a potential
electrical defect in the Ohio-made Honda CR-V after three drivers
reported a burning or melting power-window switch.

The investigation covers certain 2006 vehicles. About 150,000 have
the switch. Investigations by the National Highway Traffic Safety
    Administration often lead to recalls.

The CR-V, a compact sport-utility vehicle, is assembled in East
    Liberty.

Chuck Schifsky, a Honda spokesman, said the investigation has just
begun and the company is cooperating with the government.
