Best ignition wire set for 1983 Civic

  1. Need rec for ignition wire set for 1983 Honda Civic. Bought the car
new in '83 and have tried to keep it in excellent shape. Have been
reading up on the wire sets but they all say they're the best.

I'm leaning to the NGK brand, as that is the brand of plugs I use.

    Thanks for the help.

Yeah, but all their part prices are jacked up 400%. What brand of
ignition wires is used by certified Honda repair?

  5. Probably Honda.

What brand are on it now, and how old are they?

http://tinyurl.com/tzng OEM parts are only 35USD....

    | they all say they're the best.

I've bought 7 sets since 1980, lowest resistance is best, my newest
set has just 2 ohm/ft : uses stainless steel wires coiled on carbon
    cores, resemble Magnecor www.magnecor.com/magnecor1/truth.htm
    : Magnecor australia's prices are incredibly ( 2½x too ) high -
    7mmØ A$158, 8mmØ A$168, KV85 A$210 per set for a CRV !

+ve electrodes of all the NGK plugs I owned wore out incredibly
fast, 3-4x as fst as Champion / Nippondenso, worst brand I know
    : in 12-90, 1 of these factory fitted on a Mitsubishi 4G15P
engine could not work @ all after 3mth use.
