Battery inconsistance

What would you guys think the difference would be (good or bad) with
putting in a battery that had the cranking capacity to start a V-8 302
(or larger) engine in my 1987 Honda Accord in place of it's original
battery?

Your charging system may not be able to handle the higher capacity
battery.Other than that,no problem,if it physically fits.

With this in mind, would this be what might be causing my Battery
Indicator Light to come on after I start the car in the mornings for a
few minutes (some times it will be on for about ten minutes) and then
stay off the rest of the day. Also, could this cause my charging
system to fail in due time from the overload?

You should have your charging system and battery checked out.
