auto trans holding on hill???

    2001 honda civic ex auto trans. This car rolls backwards when on a
    hill, when its in "drive"...Is this normal for an auto trans???

    Probably depends on how steep the hill is.

    It is for Hondas. They have them set up for little load on the engine
    when stopped to conserve fuel.
