Less than a week ago a farmer followed us out in a washboard cornfield and
all I could see is him rocking back and forth almost hitting his head
against the side window. Not to mention he had to stop and get out in the
middle of the field and lock his front tires! 50 year old technology!
I gave him a ride back to his house to get some more plans and his reaction
was kind of funny as we rode back on the same path. Mumbled something about
a good suspension and being smooth. Wondered what kind of new truck this
was? Ford, Chevy, Dodge?
I am amazed how many people in central Ohio do not know that Honda makes a
truck! LOL!
But, yes Gordon, this truck is pushed hard through snow, mud, corn stubble
and grassland. I have hulled mulch, firewood, ATVs, Motorcycles, tile,
steel scraps and the bed is not a factory room bed. LOL! There are no
chunks taken out just a lot of surface scratches that makes other Ridgeline
owners wince. I have had it in greasy mud on a slight slope in which while
moving forward it is also sliding downhill. NEVER flip the VSA off in the
mud or it will just spin the tires. I had to lock all the tires once to get
out of a rut.
At least 3 clients we have worked for and shown it to now drive a Honda.
The truck sells itself. My kids love to ride in it. Smoother than the
Pilot. Stereo is better too.
My advice, the Ridgeline is a good all around truck for the city to the
backland.

I don't own a Ridgeline, but a few months ago I test drove an FJ and I
must say -- the blind spots are terrible because of the oversized rear
pillars. I definitely wouldn't recommend the FJ if you're doing any
sort of highway driving.

You can't go wrong with a Ridgeline, but it's not the same truck as the
Toyota. Ridgeline is more like driving a car or suv, than a body on frame
truck.
It's VERY quiet on the highway @ 80mph too.

stiff as the FJ. The Honda felt more road sure, but a much rougher ride then
the pilot, and less then the FJ. Which is accurate considering what the
vehicles are designed for. The FJ is certianly a different breed and no way
did we try to compare them side by side. She like the FJ, but the main flaw
to her was the side mirrors way to stubby to see well. The Dealer tried to
tell us their just like the Hummers which we knew was BS. The Ridgeline sits
a bit higher then the Pilot and she was happier to see much better with the
Ridgeline. So we got the Ridge!

I have a Honda 2006 Ridgeline RTS can’t say enough good about it couple years ago was coming from South Dakota through Minnesota didn’t realize there was 2 inches of ice on the road I did notice the dash was lighting up like caution triangles didn’t really know what it was I just bought the truck and it did not slip or slide or do anything was doing 65 to 70 miles an hour safest vehicle I’ve ever owned unbelievable technology pulled into it also I’ve had it off road and unbelievable places and then actually tall and big trucks out of mud holesWith a nice 30 foot strap specially when you login the button on the dash can’t member what it’s called but you only use it in first and reversed and it locks up all your axles no more limited slip the soccer poles like you wouldn’t believe the only thing not too good a gas mileage that’s the only drawback love the truck very roomy inside compared to any other truck of its size.Trading in the 03 Element (love it), and REALLY like the Ridge, The wife
