Accord 2001 Light on Shift Console?

Have a Honda Accord 2001 EX and there is no light on the Console
highlighting the manual transmission modes (P, N, D1, D2 etc.). I thought
this was once lit, am I mistaken? Saw nothing in the owners manual, is
there a bulb that can easily be reached?

I do, but, to be truthful, I don't look at the console. I don't even look at
the dash to see what position the gear shift is in (much less to see if the
console is lighted). I just know where it is by the position of my arm and
hand.

I have a 2001 V6-EX, and I never look at the console. I know how many
clicks down to D4, and verify it by the dash indicator.

He is talking about the shift indicator on the console.
I checked my 2000 LX last night. It has a light.

I have a 2000 Accord EX v-6 and mine has a light down there.

I have a 2000 Accord LX. My light flickers on and off. When it is off I can
tap on the console and it turns back on.
