98 CRV Passenger side Mirror replacement?

Discussion in 'CR-V' started by Dale McMillan, Jan 25, 2004.

  1. Hello,

My wife had the mis-fortune of having some nob smash the passenger side
mirror in a parking lot. The plastic housing smashed. I was wondering if
anyone would know the approximate replacement cost of the mirror, where
I could order the part (in Canada?), and if a non-mechanical retard like
myself can change this mirror (it is a power mirror too if this makes a
    difference).

    I am not very mechanical.

Thanks for any and all help.

    Hi Dale,

I'm in the same boat - looking for a gold passenger side mirror for a
'99 with the EX package. If you come across any leads on where to
find one in Canada, I'd really appreciate any tips.

    thanks,

  5. Hi Jeff,

We ordered the part from "Majestic Honda" which is actually in the US.
The dealership wanted $360 just for the mirror. It is $164 US from majestic.

I still have no idea how to install it?

    Hi Dale,

I managed to get a silver one off a 2001 from the local autowrecker.
Turns out it's the same mirror from '97-'01 with the only diff between
the LX and EX being that the EX is colour-coded. A local autobody
shop said they will paint it to match for an extra $50.

Here's some instructions I found - looks pretty straightforward. Good
    luck!
