I have had a problem with water in the trunk and carpets for over a
year. The dealer says the moonroof drains are clogged. It was going to
cost $200 to clear them, Since I had to also replace CV boot and
control arm I had to wait on the drain clearing. I think this is
something I could do myself since I have access to a compressor. My
problem is that I don't have any idea where to get access to the
drains. Do I need to take apart half the car or are there holes that I
just can't see. Do I just need to blow air into them or what?

The front holes are pretty easy to see with the roof open. The rear holes
are impossible to see, on most Hondas you end up pulling back the edges of
the rear bumper and cleaning that way... or if that doesn't work, removing
    the trunk interior lining.

Just remember not to blow from the sunroof end, as this can pull the
hoses of the nipples. That would be a royal pain to fix.

strip "carpet" off the trunk walls. Behind metal brackets (pretty close to
the wheel well) you can find plastic tubing coming from the moonroof and
coupling with the final drainage pipe that goes "inside" the bumper. This is
your access point for flashing the drainage. Frequently this coupling point
becomes loose and all water from the moonroof gets trapped in the trunk.
Unfortunately, how to get to the other end of this tube and all this
    abovementioned
procedure were excluded from the shop manual. Certainly it is not worth even
    $20 in labor. Easy DIY

I pulled away the side 'carpet' in the trunk and tested the tubes by
pouring water in the moonroof track, on level ground the water drained
fine but on an incline the water drained down the tube slowly and was
also 'raining' down from somewhere up near the B-column. I don't know
if the drain tubes are one single piece and that means they are
cracked or if there are multiple connected tubes and a joint has come
loose. I believe that if I can get to the tube from the column I could
see what is happening. I need info on how to take out the headliner
and/or the back column plastic panels. My water test also revealed
that water is seaping through the bottom of the plastic panel at the
point that it intersects with the trunk deck and running down along
the side of the back seat. The problem exists on both sides but the
    passenger side is worse.

drain tubes are a single piece from the moonroof to the trunk, and a single
piece from the trunk to the outside.
probably your tubes are cracked somewhere within the first piece. Possibly,
moonroof drain neck (where it connects to the tube) does not have seal
anymore, so water seeps past that plastic neck.

Give me your vehicle year and model and your e-mail. I will send you several
pages from the shop manual on how to disassemble interior and how to get to
    that tube.
