My sons Accord has a black spounge substance blowing out of his vents and is
dripping water on the floor. Any suggestions? Where is the AC filter
    located?

The black sponge stuff is most likely the material that connects various
portions of the AC/heat/fresh air vents together. The water on the floor
usually indicates your evaporator (next to your heater) has some debris in
the bottom and has likely stopped up the water drain tube. You can usually
get it to drain by carefully pokeing a small coat hanger type flexable rod
up the drain tube. You will find the drain under the car coming out the
bottom of the firewall about 6 to 12 inches forward of the water leak. you
may have to do the clearing proceedure several times and if it's real bad,
clean out the evaporator itself. Good luck!

    Thank you.
Are you saying that the duct seals need to be replaced? How involved is
    that?

No need to replace; in many of the older cars I usually work on, the black
spongy tape-like substance is often coming apart due to heat and age. The
worst case I have seen is when a piece of it fell back into the fan and was
eventually ground up and pushed out the vents. I would turn the fan on high
and blow the stuff out while switching to different settings (def, heat,
    vent). Continued good luck.

You were 100% correct concerining the clog. He has trees at his place and we
just flushed a ton of junk out of there. Thank you for your help.
