I have a 93 CX with 227K ( bought it brand new) and it died
yesterday...might have been oil pump death=engine death...will know
with further inspection.Never had any major problems with this car
and it has been meticulosly maintained. The oil light started flashing
and a minute later the engine started knocking like mad and it died on
the highway. This car is in great shape, factory original, and super
clean.I put a new exhaust system and 4 tires on it in August. I am
looking into putting a 95 Civic D1626 V-Tec in it engine in it to use
as a daily driver... can anyone give me an opinion about this. I have
also been considering selling it, as I have had some people already
    asking about it.

    Thanks!

  2. Aw, shoot. Why didn't you pull right over when the light came on? A minute
of the oil light flashing is way too long.
Get a new engine, the CXs were great. I loved mine.

    A minute
Well I must have exaggerated the time..it was more like ..blink blink
blink death. Wish I could have had the time to pull over. We looked at
a '95 SOHC Vtec D1626 Turbo in another Honda today. It runs great but
I am still thinking. The CX was kind of a slug but great on fuel. Do I
really need a little turbo-rocket as a daily driver? Hmmmm.I love my
Honda..have had 4 of them... and the engines seem to die around 250k.
