90' accord overheating

I have a 90' accord with about 240,000 miles.
My temp gage starting rising real fast now it always stays peg on the H.
I have changed thermostat, radiator cap.
I am now thinking it might be the sensor.
Is the sensor the electrical connection on the thermostat side or the
connection front side of the motor?
Also the fans never seem to come on but very occasionally.
The AC does not work so the one fan will not come on , but the other fan
does not seem to come on very often.
Could the sensor be causing the fans to act up?

Was the system bleed of air when thermostat changed?
If not, could have a pocket of air in system and fooling temp sensor,
causing fan not turn on.
How's the coolant level?
Do you have the system flushed and coolant changed on a regular basis?
Are all the wiring connected back for the temp sensor in the themostat
area?
If your fan does not come On with AC, there could be electrical problem
with harness, relay, switch, etc.
This could also be the cause of the Fan not turning on when engine temp
rises.
You may need a service manual to throubleshoot the fan problems

 

I just went through this, and it was a blown head gasket.

Well I replaced the temp. sensor and now it shows a normal temp. But now I
have a radiator full of oil.
I believe G-Man is right on about mine also. I am hoping it is just a head
gasket.
