2026 CRV floor carpet issue

    2026 CRV-EXL with less than 3,000 miles. Just noticed yesterday that the two piece floor carpet beneath the seat on both driver and passenger sides at the door are two pieces. The two pieces are not joined or sewn together and at the carpet joints it is open to the extent that it allows items that happen to drop down in that area to fall to the body floor. There is no way to get into that area to retrieve the items.... keys, coins, meds etc. Wife dropped a small med tablet in that area yesterday which is how we discovered it.
    We recently traded our 2018 CRV and I don't recall it being a problem, although I never really had a reason to check it out for this problem.
    Has anyone else found this to be the case? Thoughts? Solution?
