I am on the verge of buying a 2026 CR-V. I previously had a Chevy Volt which I drove in low to simulate one pedal driving. With the Volt, I never drove on gas till I exhausted the battery so most of the times I was driving on battery. The AI says the CR-V will drive electrically till about 45 miles per hour. Since I do a lot of driving off highway, this seems to be the hybrid most similar to what I had. Is that right? I notice there is an eco mode I can select. Does that help me stay in battery mode longer? And at low speeds are the regen processes enough to juice up the battery or does the car use a generator to top it off?
