I recently found out that my engine motor mount, on the passenger side, is loose. I have felt some vibration when accelerating and a squeaky noise coming from that location. Is the squeaking noise normal for a bad motor mount or could it be something else wrong with the car? Brake pads and rotors were replaced less than six months ago and suspension was checked, found no issues.

    For a 2019 Honda Civic:
    • Loose or bad motor mount: very likely causing your vibration when accelerating
    • Squeaking noise: possible, but not the most typical symptom
    Most likely scenario
The worn/loose mount is letting the engine move more than it should, which can:
    • Create vibration (main symptom)
    • Cause secondary squeaks from:
      • Rubber in the mount itself
      • Nearby parts shifting (heat shields, brackets, hoses)
Also worth checking (common on Civics)
    • Serpentine belt or tensioner
    • Engine mount rubber cracking (Honda mounts are fluid-filled and can wear)
    • Slight exhaust or heat shield contact
    Bottom line
    Fix the motor mount first.
If the squeak is still there afterward, then look at belts or nearby components—but the mount is almost certainly the root issue.
