2007 Element SC 5spd Brake Pedal Feels Spongy and Pedal Needs Pushing

Almost as if they need bleeding. ABS unit was replaced but they felt
this way before. Fluid level is fine. Known issue on Elements ?

You might look for a simple adjustment at the brake pedal that the dealer is
clueless about. I know my 1983 tercel wagon is a long way from a 2007 but I
had 2 of them and one had crappy brakes. Dealer replaced everything to no
avail. Finally called district rep who showed them a simple adjustment
around the top of the pedal that fixed it.
