    Honda CRV owners,

We recently purchased a 2003 CRV and what has happened a couple of
times is either the engine or muffler sound rough after driving
through a lot of snow. The first time it happened, I let the CRV sit
and it was back to normal, the second time it only did it for about 10
minutes... Can this be something related to water getting in the
muffler/Catalytic converter?? it starts feeling like you have a
stinger tailpipe on it and idles rough.

Thanks in advance for any info.

You have discovered one of the many Honda quirks!!! Actually this is the
thing with Civics and Accords also, and it is just getting the muffler wet
and then it drives off and is okay. Kind of sounds like a Ferrari a little
huh? I told the dealer about this and they looked at me like I came from
Mars, but yes this is a Honda thing. I think its 'normal'.

This happened with the 2001 Civic I used to own and it happens sometimes
    with my 2002 CR-V.
We had couple days under -25 C recently and the exhaust sounds rough until
    the car warms up.
