I hate the whole car buying experience so if anyone can help me it
would be greatly appreciated. I'm on a super tight budget but need a
bigger car as my family is expanding in Jan. I have an offer from the
dealer on a 2003 Accord and am wondering if it is a good deal or if I
can push further. Here is some info, does anything look like it can
bend... anyone get a better deal?

2003 Accord LX Sedan with side air-bags [Graphite Pearl]

Total purchase price before tax: $18,000
Interest Rate: 2.9%
Terms in Months: 60
Processing Fee: $340 (title, tag, fees, state warranty rights)
Tax: 7% ($1043)
Down Payment: $2000
Trade allowance: $3100

Total price: $19383
Loan amount $14283

Monthly payment: $256.01

Thanks for the help.

P.S. if you are a dealer in GA that can beat it then please let me
know :)

There isn't much to whittle down from that price, which is lower than
generally advertised out her on the west coast. Assuming it is an automatic
trans Accord, I'd buy it if everything else fits what you are looking for.
If its a manual, there is another $500 on the table to work with, but you
didn't give any info on the trade-in, which is where you are probably taking
the beating.
Good luck on the purchase.

I suggest that you buy from a dealer within 100 miles of your home. You
should take the above offer to the other Honda dealerships and see if they
can give you a better deal. The 2004 models are coming out very soon and
there is a limited amount of space on the dealer lots. Some dealers are
now selling 2003 Honda cars for the same price they paid for them just to
clear them out to make room for the 2004 Honda cars. This is a great time
of year to buy a 2003 Honda.

I agree with Bill. The 2004 Accords are in the showroom now, at least
in the New Jersey dealership where I purchased my '03 Accord sedan in
February.

The 2004 Accords have side curtain airbags, possibly standard equipment,
in addition to the XM satellite radio. The satellite radio requires a
small box to be drilled into the roof, protruding just above the rear
window. Other than these upgrades, and perhaps some interior sound
deadening (not sure), the 2004s are identical to the 2003s.
