I have heard there is a TSB related to a Honda CR-V a cylinder not
firing and losing compression in one of the cylinders; the fix is to
replace the cylinder head to the tune of about $2500-$3000. Does
anyone know if there is such a TSB and if so, any chance I could get a
    copy?

Background: my sister-in-law was driving on vacation and the check
engine light came on her CR-V. She had it towed to the nearest dealer
(300 miles from their normal dealer) and they are in the process of
    fixing her vehicle right now.

I read about a TSB, but no number or copy was provided, so I thought I
    would check here.

    Thanks.

It's too bad she didn't know to stop driving it when it stalled during
    the warm-up cycle. :-(

Here's a thread with the link to the TSB.

'97 - '01 CR-V's have to have the valve adjustment checked every 50,000
Km (30,000 miles). The owner's manual has misinformation in it.

    Curly,

Thank you so much for the info. I was able to log into the site, pull
up the TSB and have emailed it to my sister-in-law.

She said she has had every service interval completed at the
dealership, so I told her to call her dealer and see what they will do.
I think the big issue is the car is away from her normal dealership,
but if the local dealer will work with her, it might make sense to tow
    it the 300 miles.

    Thanks again!!!
