    Not Charging

When I first bought my VF750C a couple years ago it wasn't charging
the battery. I put a new battery in and replaced the rectifier. The
rectifier is kinda expensive at around $150. More from the Honda
Shop. A little less from Dennis Kirk. Anyway. I haven't been riding
it much the last few weeks. Yesterday it died on me. The battery
went to nothing. It wouldn't even stay running if I push started it.
Not even if I revved it up.

At first I figured it just was low because I had not ridden it much
and then only for short runs. Not enough to charge the battery. No
such luck. I put in a new battery and checked the voltage. Then I
started it and checked the voltage. No luck. It didn't come up even
when revving the motor to fairly high levels. The battery needed to
be charged off the shelf, so I should have seen a huge jump in voltage
when I revved up the motor.

Is it likely the relatively new rectifier failed or is there something
else I should look at? I hate to replace the rectifier again if
    that's not the problem.

Check and clean All ground connections. Make sure there's clean metal from wire to frame and motor.
