Considering I can't find any source of an OEM or aftermarket replacement shield, has anyone hacked a shield that was close enough and made one work for this old car? The part number is 45255-SM4-G03 which is the correct part number. I found that a Doorman 947-010 for a later year might be modified. Has anyone actually done this and can testify whether it will work?

Are there any sources? I tried all the brand name auto parts stores, ebay, etc.

I grabbed a Dorman 947-010 and hacked it up, Basically I took the wheel hub assy and pencil traced it. Then I centered and ground away metal with a dremel tool so there was clearance and hub would fit flat. Some other areas near the caliper fitment had to be gound away a bit. New hole for attachment screws were not possible because ID of hub hole was too big. But 3 half circles in target hub holes were possible. New screws, all 3, hold it on well. Scheme doesn't work with 2 screws. You must capture all 3. Study picture carefully. Right now we are driving and some rubbing noises are noticed. I suspect more grinding around the caliper fitment is needed. Easy enough. But since no OEM part, I thought this was worth a try.
