    Hi All,

    Posted a couple days ago about something else. We've had this car for about
    a week and notice that when we put gas in it like $20 or so, the needle does
    not move very far up on the gauge, hardly at all actually. It seems that if
    wehit a good bump in the road or do a sharp turn that all of a sudden the
    gauge reads a half a tank. Anybody know what could be causing this?

    Thanks

    ================

    There's probably a dent in the tank, right where the sensor swings.
    Others have reported the same thing.

    Are you serious.........a dent in the tank? How in the heck do ya dent a
    gas tank unless you back into something? Is it like a float type of device
    in there? I thought maybe a sticky float? Anyhow.........very
    strange.........

    A dent is quite unlikely. It's probably the high content sulfphur gas you're
    using that would cause the floater to get stuck.
    I experience the same thing. I started using Shell and it got my reading all
    screwed up and went back to use Sunoco, which is much cleaner.
