I've got a 1990 Honda Prelude. The engine that's currently in it is a
2.0 SOHC non-vtec. I need to swap motors. I talked to a mechanic about
it and he said that he can make a modern B16 (vtec DOHC) engine work by
moving the mounts for the engine and tranny. He's also using the pedal
assembly from my Civic to convert it into a 5 speed with clutch.
However, he's not familiar with the 1990 Prelude and he wanted me to do
some research as to what engines will fit under the hood with enough
clearance, no problems. Mounts locations are not a problem. I will be
happy with a fuel-injected D15 SOHC, D16 SOHC or B16 DOHC. Will any of
these motors fit? Thanks for the info.
