10K Oil Changes ?

  1. Owners manual for 2004 Civic clearly seems to have the interval at 10K
    or 1 yr. Is that possible ? ...

    cT = 0.85

    if you're driving a 50's car with 50's oil technology, then no, it is
    not possible. if you're driving a modern computer controlled car that
    doesn't dump gas and doesn't contaminate the oil with excess soot or
    other combustion products, and that car uses a lubricant with modern oil
    technology, then it's more than possible.

    get oil analysis done and you'll find that in a lot of cases, the 10k
    interval is actually quite conservative.
