So far I'm really impressed with lack of maintenance needed. Already
have 7k miles on ours and oil life still reporting 50%!

Just curious, how many miles until first oil change needed on average?

  2. About 6500 for my '07 V6 Accord EX-L sedan-- about 50-50 around town driving
vs. interstate trips of 400 miles or so all in the southeast US.

Went 8500kms (5300mi) for the first on, and 10000kms (6215mi) for the
second and third. The car is now at 32000kms (19888mi) and the oil
    life is 60%.

    Mine have been at:

    5,400 miles
    11,120 miles
    16,791 miles
    22.321 miles

Currently have about 27,000 miles and oil life is at 30%. My driving
is mostly in-town with a couple of long trips per year.

Mine was starting to worry me. I am at 6700mi and only at 50% oil
life. I was searching the web to see if there was a computer recall/
problem. This is my first batch of oil and they don't want it changed
too early due to the additives. I just don't want to damage the
engine by not changing it often enough.

About half of my milage is hiway.

oh puhleeeze. after honda spend millions of dollars developing useful
tools like an oil monitor, and the oil companies spend millions developing
high reliability lubricants, you "worry" that you're not getting ripped
off every 3k miles? go pay for some oil analysis and prove for yourself
that they know what they're doing. or **** off back to 1953 and buy a
    ford.
