01 Civic Tranny Slip 2nd to 3rd

    I have a 2001 Civic EX with automatic transmission. It has 50,000 miles on
    it. I've recently started noticing that the transmission slips briefly when
    shifting between 2nd and 3rd gears for the first couple of minutes of
    driving, when it's cold. After that it shifts fine. The transmission fluid
    is still the color of cherry juice. I called the Honda dealer and asked
    about a transmission flush. They said it may either help or make the problem
    worse. I opted to leave it the alone for now.
    Does anyone have any suggestions or similar experiences, and how you fixed
    it.
